We currently have an opening for a POST-DOC. Here are the details:

Position info: Postdoctoral Researcher in micro/nanofabrication, microwave design/measurement and superconducting technology.

We are now looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in micro/nano fabrication, microwave design/measurement and superconducting technology. This position is available immediately.

The Alabama Micro/Nano Science and Technology Center and the Auburn Nanosystems Group has an ongoing project seeking new talent in the area of superconducting microwave interconnect technology and packaging.

Requirements: Successful candidates shall have a PhD in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, nanotechnology or a related field. Actual micro/nanofabrication experience is required. Specifically, experience in lithography and thin-film deposition are key required skills. Microwave design, simulation and characterization and experience with cryogenic electronics characterization are highly desired.

Salary: Salary will be determined based on competence / experience and in line with the salary system of Auburn University.

We are always looking for resourceful and motivated students (at both GRADUATE & UNDERGRADUATE levels) to work on our team. Specific opportunities:

1) PhD student(s) to work in the area of quantum devices, quantum systems, superconducting materials, superconducting packaging and integration technology and superconducting/cryogenic electronic devices.
2) Undergraduate student(s) to work in the area of quantum, superconducting and cryogenic electronics technologies, among other interesting topics.

HIGH SCHOOL: Interested students who are still in high school or have just graduated and are looking for exposure to research during the summer before starting undergrad, please get in touch! We have hosted multiple high school students over the years and this is a great opportunity to gain valuable “hands-on” experience in a research lab setting.
